A chat client-server infrastructure written in C++, split into a client and a server, both configured with CMake and built for Linux.
Client and server
The client opens a command prompt. Its commands let you test the connection to a server, connect and disconnect, log in with a user name and join a channel. The server is started with an address and a port, and prints where it is listening once it is up. For now it does not create channels or users on the fly, which the current architecture would make easy to add.
A session looks like this:
ClientConsole> connect 127.0.0.1 8080
Connection successful
127.0.0.1:8080> login J0hn
Logged in as J0hn
J0hn@127.0.0.1:8080> join general
J0hn: Hey
Response: success OK
