Méderdra
Mauritania
Tightly packed on an overcrowded Jeep running through the Southern Mauritanian desert, we leave the main road to get closer to the Senegal river.
The Diama border crossing checkpoint is less popular than Rosso, meaning it is easier to get through if you don't speak Wolof or Hassaniya, and the police will not ask for extra money to get you through.
The road is however extremely bumpy and uncomfortable, I got there covered in sweat, and my back did hurt badly 😭
