Dakhlet Nouadhibou
Mauritania
A sluggish process with a lot of fixers trying to get paid for the smallest useless service, some extremely rough and dirty facilities with not even a fan, smelling of sweat and unventilated air, honestly a hellish place.
The sand on the pictures has mines, by the way, don't go there if you like your legs 💯
Since the train arrived very late, most of the trip happened during the night.
It is a very intense experience, the sand is constantly blasting your face, following the turbulent air currents inside the wagon, and covering you up in a layer of black fine dust.
That dust also happens to be ferromagnetic, which makes it stick quite well to anything with a magnet in it 😭
But the starry night really was worth it, with so many shooting stars and extremely clear skies, with zero light pollution ✨
