Agadir
Morocco
Agadir is a very different city, full of unbuilt areas, no actual Medina, and high speed winds which make the heat of the sun feel less aggressive.
This was (by far) one of the worst stops so far during this trip. I got food poisoning from the dinner I grabbed at the hostel, and had to stay in bed shivering with fever for one more night, until I was able to gather enough energy to keep going 😴
Let's also not even mention the fact that I was throwing up like crazy and had run out of drinkable water. And trust me, finding bottled water in a far suburb of Agadir at 3 a.m., while shivering from a 40-degree fever, is a hell of a challenge.
I can still feel the pain in my throat. Horrendous.
I also got a haircut (not the best, sadly), which I needed to properly survive the heat of the following weeks.
Finally leaving Agadir, feeling a tad better and most importantly free of fever and nausea, the bus is a tad late but that means it speeds everything up, which is great!
