Bogotá
Colombia
Bogotá, the city of emeralds and constant autumn weather! I initially booked a cozy, modern hotel in the business district and was shocked by the high-tech amenities, jacuzzi, and spa.
I then moved to a more rustic place where many travelers would pass through and met some very sweet people from all over Europe and Latin America.
This city is frankly underrated. People tend to prefer Medellín over Bogotá, but I simply disagree. It feels so much more like it has personality
A rather tiring hike, but the view was worth it!
Montserrate towers at an impressive 3,200 m above sea level, making the ascent more of a challenge than your regular sea-level hill. The city stretches all the way to the horizon, and the vantage point is a perfect opportunity to capture some striking isometric shots.
Here we go, Colombia ends here, see you soon Bogotá 🛫
I do feel a bit sad about having to cancel my adventure through the Darién Gap, and directly flying through Central America, but it is for the best, and my partner needs support, so here I fly!
Lots of Colombian immigrants who live in the US on my flight, it's an interesting route because it feels demographically very different from the typical Europe-US flight.
