Upon arriving in Sofia, my throat and nose were already aching, and speaking caused severe discomfort. I quickly headed to a pharmacy in search of an effective way to relieve my symptoms, as I wanted to be in Bucharest by the 30th to meet a friend.
After several rounds of anti-inflammatory medicine, antihistamines, and oxymetazoline, I finally felt some relief. I was then able to explore the city and capture some beautiful shots of this vibrant metropolis.
I was especially impressed by the public transport system and the many monumental government buildings that line the boulevards of the old centre.
