Sighișoara
Romania
I was told that Sighişoara was worth spending a night in, and it truly is. This enchanting town is one of the best-preserved medieval gems in Europe, rightfully listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
With no hostels available in the small town, I treated myself to a charming private room right in the heart of the city. My train to Cluj-Napoca departs the following day at around 1 p.m., giving me plenty of time to wander its cobbled streets, soak in the atmosphere, and enjoy a leisurely, relaxing stopover.
