Podgorica
Montenegro
I am writing this about four days after reaching this city, and therefore am struggling to remember everything, but what I can say is that the train ride there was really beautiful, with lush forests surrounding the track at all times and cute little stations in the middle of nowhere, leading right into some small house’s backyard.
The city itself didn’t strike me as particularly beautiful or interesting, but I did visit most of the city centre, finally exchange my Bosnian currency for euros, and book a bus for the morning after to Shkoder (the train line is sadly abandoned and only serves some rare freight transport).
