So my initial plan was to go east to join the Río Magdalena and then follow the river all the way up to Honda, where I could catch a bus to Bogotá.
Except my information was badly outdated, since people haven’t traveled this way for the last 10 to 20 years. Roads now provide a much faster connection. The only boats that still circulate are small cargo town-to-town hoppers, which don’t take passengers and move far too slowly.
