This town was my first attempt at finding a place where I could finally rest, knowing that staying an extra night if I felt like it wouldn’t cost me fifty euros or more.
I had missed this feeling of freedom, which stems from the flexibility and financial independence one can only encounter in small villages and quiet towns.
Shortly after my arrival, I met a fellow traveler bound for the East, seeking refuge here while she recovered from a bout of flu. We spent our time together and wandered down to the lake; life was slow, and good.
