Sadly, the previous driver wasn't headed to Tarifa but to Algeciras, so here I am trying to find a new one, in a gas station near the city.
Visibly my luck did run out here, and I had to walk for about 40 minutes under a blazingly hot sun to catch a bus to the city center.
Found the bus! It led me to the central bus station, where city buses connected me to Tarifa.
Saved, finally 💪
After 40 minutes of bus from Algeciras, finally the African continent becomes visible. It's surprisingly reachable and close!
There are several cargo ships coming though the straight, with long trails of foam fading behind their hull.
Waiting for the ferry, grabbed a sweet iced coffee while watching pigeons and sparrows fighting for some pastry crumbs, wrecking havoc in the café
Airport vibes at the ship terminal, I missed the 5pm ferry but managed to catch a ticket for the next one, departing around 9
