Mauritania
A warm morning aboard the Sahara express, with strong winds, black dust and a burning sun.
I truly consider myself lucky not to have stayed until Zouérat (I got off in Choum), since I would've had to endure the midday sun without any shadow, in a superheated box of metal running at insane speeds right through a cloud of abrasive sand.
Honestly, a spectacular experience, but not one I'd like to live through every two days. It truly is exhausting and intense!
